(More customer reviews)I've had this bike transporter for about a year now. The idea is great but the construction & design is poor. Yesterday I loaded it with 4 bikes as usual (2 adults and 2 kid bikes) and after about a block since leaving my hose, we heard a big "thud" and a horrible noise. Stopped to check and "Lo and behold" the base had broken, the 4 bikes fell and I dragged them for a few feet before stopping. Luckily, this happened at about 10 miles per hour and not in the highway where I was headed. It could have caused a major accident. I forgot the name of the company that makes them otherwise I'd sue them for the inherent risk. I had used it without problem until now. This was while using the 2 inch adapter... If you already have this transporter be very careful and never load 4 bikes!!
