It extends out the back a little far, but that is to accomodate the ability to open the liftgate without lowering the folded hitch...not fully appreciated, until you need to do that! If the design was vertically raised by 4" it would be perfect, as it is, the carrier rear can scrape on shallow inclines when folded out.
Customer service is superior. I had a blem on the main spar, and new pieces were immediately sent out.
It handles the 180lbs I put on it routinely with ease.
