(More customer reviews)This is a useful device.The device works by pushing in on a spring loaded ball on the inner rod and then choosing among the several holes in the outer rod.You then have to spin in or out on the end device that is threaded into the rod to tighten the device against the inside of the bed. I have had it installed in my truck for several weeks and it is doing exactly what I wanted it to do.I put a tonneau cover on the bed and wanted this device to keep stuff right behind the tailgate for easy access.It is staying in place after several hundred miles of use.Definitely worth the $20 or so that I paid for it.
